We had Stanley Steamer clean the carpets on the 16th coordinated by Jeff. We had our first tour of the house when we arrived on the 17th and made a list of the changes needed. Starting with a good cleaning. We left the Florida house spotless and patched all the holes. In our new house, the appliances were clean but everything else needed a good scrubbing. We took down the window dressings and some lighting we didn’t like and plugged the resulting holes and the ones they left. Jeff and Danielle were a big help in all of this. We bought and installed some new lighting fixtures and fans. Jeff spent a bit of time draining, cleaning and refilling the pool. We bought some new furniture, a desk and some chairs as we waited for the PODS to be delivered. We also registered with the Trilogy HOA and received our ID’s and gate codes and, of course, the rule book. The first POD was delivered on the 20th and we, with Jeff, Bailey and Danielle’s help had it unloaded that day. The 21st was spent getting stuff situated in the house and from the garage. On the 22nd they swapped PODS and ‘WE’ unloaded most of it that day. We finished the rest on Thanksgiving morning and then headed back to Jeff’s for Thanksgiving. He smoked one turkey and roasted another. It was a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration. On the 24th we spent our first night in our new home on our Sleep Number bed. We had been staying at Jeff’s since we arrived. On the 25th they picked up the last POD and the driveway was ours again.
