Discover Presque Isle

August 1, 2011

We have gone out to the peninsula three days in a row during 'Discover Presque Isle'. The second day we rode our bikes for a full lap of the bike trail, metal detected on beach 8 and walked through the vendor tents. We ran into Don and Karen Levis, 25th street neighbors who we haven't seen in over 20 years. They were there with Scott, their youngest, and his family. His 10 year old daughter had swum in the 1 mile lake swim, the youngest swimmer ever to participate. Sunday we went to the pancake breakfast with Bob, Cathy and Becca then metal detected on Sunset Point and Pine Tree Beach. They, along with Caitlin, came over that night for grits and sausage.
