Falcon Heavy Launch

February 6, 2018

Still sky high from the Eagles win. Yesterday we went to the Putt N'Play in the village of Fenney. It's an 18 hole putting course on real grass with par 2, 3 and 4s (I think). Most holes are very long with serious dog-legs and plenty of elevation changes. We went with Eugene and Connie and had a good time. Today we went to the Gainesville VA for my semi-annual appointment and everything is great. So well in fact, they talked about taking me off my medicine but since I never tested positive with a blood test they would have no reliable way of determining if I was relapsing until it may be too late to effectively resume treatment. Since I am tolerating the medicine well, we decided to stay on it. Other good news is that I will be able to teleconference in to the Gainesville team from the Villages VA clinic so I won't have that 60 mile drive every 6 months. On the way home we stopped at AAA to see if they could help plan our post-cruise trip to Scandinavia, but no luck. After a little shopping at Sam's Club we arrived home in time to watch the Falcon Heavy launch from the cape. It was very successful and I really enjoyed watching the two side boosters land back at the cape together and side by side. Elon Musk's midnight red Tesla Roadster is headed into outer space with 'Space Man' in his SpaceX space suit behind the wheel.
