Yesterday we went to Evergreen with Steve and Laura and walked around Evergreen Lake before driving along Upper Bear Creek Road and then over to Lookout Mountain before driving down the mountain trail to Golden. We did not stop at Buffalo Bill's grave since we had all been there before. Yesterday was our 56 wedding anniversary so Steve and Laura graciously took us, along with Kate and Brian to the Golden Hotel for a for a wonderful dinner. During dinner, Kate and Brian were talking about how they met so we all decided that after dinner we would walk over to the Ace-Hi bar where they first met. They described it as a dive bar but it was quite nice and quiet as we drank our shots of Jamesons. But maybe that was because it was early and the 'crowd' had not arrived yet. Anyways we walked home for another comfortable evening with good friends. Today we drove over to Glenn and Laura's (Steve's sister) home in Genesee just to the west off I-70. Kate and Brian brought their dog, Copper, to visit with his good friend Daisy, Glenn and Laura's dog. We had a great dinner and Steve and I even sat in their hot tub for a while. We leave tomorrow after a wonderful visit and I checked the weather and the weather will be good so we will head across I-70 and head to Moab, Utah and Arches National Park.
