Day 4 The Rhine is at historical low levels (actually, the lowest ever recorded) so our boat is not able to navigate the middle section of the river so the boat moved to the Strasbourg harbor and we were all loaded onto busses for our trip to Heidelberg and eventual transfer to our new ship. Our luggage was loaded and trucked to our new boat, The Viking Lofn. After a 2 hour bus ride we arrived in Heidelberg and were treated to a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant with lots of ‘bier’ (“Eins, zwei, drei, veir, lift your stein and drink your beer” for those who ever saw the movie “The Student Prince”) and pear schnapps. After which we rode up to Heidelberg Castle for our tour.
