Yesterday we went back to the Zoo for a quiet walk around the park and a chance to see the newborn Red Panda but they remained in the cubbing box. We stopped at Whippy Dip for a Strawberry Twist and arrived back home in time to watch the Niagara sail out of the channel and not returning until the end of August. Today we went out to the peninsula to see the beginnings of “Discover Presque Isle” and to do a little treasure hunting. We metal detected on beach 6 and came out with 90 cents; 3 quarters, a dime and 5 pennies. We then walked around the tents set up at Water Works, had lunch and walked the beach in raincoats as a storm blew through. This evening we went back out to Ripley and visited with Janet and took a gift for Craig's birthday, visited with Mary and Allison and her two daughters and met three of Alesa's classmates at Meeder's for dinner and were joined by three other classmates who happened to be at Meeder's as well.
