The Roar is over

July 18, 2011

Saturday we went to Browns for Ryan's Birthday party. He came home from Pittsburgh. Otherwise we continued to recuperate by watching the mass exodus out of the campground on Sunday. We had even used four overflow spots. There were 80,000 people in town for the 'Roar on the Shore' and there were 5,000 bikes in the Thursday opening ride from Commodore Downs to Perry Square. Brought a lot of commerce into the city. We are also relaxing by watching them dredge the lakeside mouth of the channel and towing the barges out in the lake to dump the dredgings. They are also dredging in the bay and are supposed to be at it all summer. This morning Alesa went to the library and then shopping at the mall. I stayed at the trailer and caught up on finances and some paperwork. Also washed the dust out of all the screens and scrubbed some spots on the outside of the trailer. This evening we are headed back to the mall to see the Harry Potter movie.
