Water Volleyball

August 26, 2018

With Alesa's knee waiting to be replaced and some problems with her foot we have spent much more time at water volleyball. We go about 4 times a week for about 2 hours each time. Alesa has given up golf and platform tennis for now but we do go out and play a limited game of tennis for an hour or so about 3 or 4 times a week as well 'Masters' tennis once a week for a few hours. I still golf 3 or 4 time a week but the amount of rain, or at least lightning, causes more than a few cancellations. Alesa had a sharp pain in her foot which stopped when she made a doctors appointment but she still went because she is worried she will spoil our upcoming trip to Europe . The doctor felt it was probably tendonitis resulting from the knee causing her to walk differently and she will do some physical therapy to strengthen the foot. The water volleyball keeps her active, feels good for her knee and foot and is a great way to beat the Florida summer heat. I've just had my annual and semi-annual checkups and am doing great. Just lowered the flag to half-mast for John McCain and was taken back by the appropriateness of the rainbow between the storms. The Villages is in the process of building 2 bridges across highway 44 and one across the Florida turnpike to connect all of the new villages together with us. They are about finished with a trestle bridge behind Brownwood town center to connect to one of the highway bridges.
