Day 1 Hiking
November 7, 2019
Jeff flew off to Cupertino this morning but will be back late tonight. Danielle is at work and Bridget is in school. We had a nice breakfast then went for a hike around the area behind the house and to a retail area just to the north. Walked 4 miles in all then back for lunch and a rest. Then we walked to Frey's Marketplace for a few grocery essentials with a stop at McDonalds on the way. We put our purchases in my backpack and hiked home. We've been using Strava to track our walks but it cut out on me a few times so am guessing about 5 miles. Got home and soaked our legs in the pool. Now to shower, fix dinner (Alesa) and relax and alcohol will be involved. All in all a great day. Also made reservation for two nights in Flagstaff on the 13th and 14th. The beginning of our trip to the Utah national parks.
