Alesa and I attended the No Kings Rally in downtown Chandler today to show our support for the movement and our total displeasure with the current fascist regime of the 5th grade level bully and the haters, greedies and gullables who support it. We had a choice of many locations and Chandler was the closest. Very impressed with the turnout and the energy and peacefulness of the demonstrations. A number of anti-demonstrators showed up but were unable to invoke a confrontation, so they moved on. Earlier this month we attended BJ Felix's Octoberfest party. I went to Prep with his dad (Ken) and was able to introduce Jeff to BJ when Alesa & I and Ken & Jan were both in AZ a number of years ago. BJ has this huge party every year and has invited Jeff but he has not been able to go. Sadly to say Ken passed last year after we moved here. Alesa & I and jeff & Danielle went to the party this year to give our condolences. I also wanted to meet with Ken's two younger brothers who live in the area since I haven't seen them since our Prep days. We were only going to stay for a minute or two since I was not officially invited but they were very welcoming and insisted we stay to at least sample all of their homemade German beer and food. It was a lot of fun and the food was excellent and BJ's uncles were there.
