D-Day
Finally getting some real rain. It has been months, the ponds are low and, as of yesterday, we are under a Phase III water shortage and can only irrigate once a week and they are adding a 10% surcharge on the water used. Maybe this rain will let them remove the restrictions. We have been AED first responders for the neighborhood since we moved in and yesterday afternoon was our first actual 'call to duty' to a house around the corner and about a dozen houses down. We get a test alert every month so it was a shock to see an actual address. When we arrived some of the other responders were attempting to begin CPR on the gentleman but it was clear that he had died during the night. We still tried the AED before the EMT's arrived. He lived alone and the neighbor had just checked on him. We are looking forward to our boys flying down to take me out to lunch on Sunday for my 70th. Mike is flying down tomorrow and visiting friends in Mt. Dora before picking Jeff up in Orlando on Saturday and staying with us until Tuesday. Really looking forward to our time with them as well our time with their families next month when we get to Pa.
