Today is Alesa's birthday and the whole family was over.
Trip Log
Tonight was Bailey's turn. He is a drummer in the school band and tonight was their Winter Concert and they played very well. On another note, Annika donated her long hair to 'Locks of Love' today.
Tonight we went down to Jeff's then over to Bridget's Concert. She is in the 4th grade chorus and today was their Winter Concert. They, she especially, did a very good job and she even got to introduce the last song, Jingle Bell Rock. Tomorrow night is Bailey's concert.
Today we took the truck to Mike's to take over a last few items. While there the girls baked cupcakes and Nana made gooey cookies (no-bake). After testing the goodies we all went to a local tree farm for their Christmas tree.
Yesterday we bought Alesa an iPad as an early Christmas present. I also bought a Bluetooth dongle for the laptop so we have been kept busy learning the iPad and getting the iPad, computer, Android phone and car all talking to each other.
We decided on a leisurely trip home so we spent Monday night at the Days Inn in Selma, NC (I-95 exit 97). We arrived home before 3PM on Tuesday. We started to see snow on the ground about 10 miles from home and were surprised to see a good covering at home.
We left Paul and Carol's at about 7 this morning and drove back roads to I-95 at about the Georgia border and have just crossed into South Carolina. We had the usual excellent visit with the Stones and look forward to camping near them for a while this winter.
We have been busy visiting, touring and walking. Today we walked around the new building going on inthe northern part of Paul and Carol's neighborhood. While they weren't working today it was interesting to see the quantity of new homes and the homes in various stages of construction.
We arrived at Paul and Carol's new house at The Villages yesterday afternoon after a short ride from Tampa. It is the first time we have seen the house finished and we are very impressed. We even have our own visitor's wing.
