Continue to keep busy with golf, pickleball, dining, entertainment, etc.; classes, practice and competition. Wednesday we went to the Chester County club meeting where we all played Bunco and met a lot of people from Chester County, both Snowbirds and permanent residents.
Trip Log
Today Betsey visited from Ormond Beach with her daughter Jennifer and her son Eugene with his wife Connie. It was cool today so we did the grand tour in the truck and did get a chance for all to tour the Eisenhower Rec center before coming back for warm drinks and some cake.
Tuesday we made the first trip to the Gainesville VAMC for lab work and a doctor visit, everything went well, all good news, and I am now getting my medicine from there rather than Philadelphia.
Craig and Janet came up Friday and yesterday we drove to Lakeland to Lynn & Tony's for a Niebauer get together. We had a good time and made it back in time to watch the Eagles game. They had an unexpectedly good season but it just wasn't meant to be.
Happy New Year everybody. We golfed on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day and attended the neighborhood New Year's party in one of the cul-de-sacs and it was a little nippy. Today was rainy so we headed off to the DMV to get our Florida driver's licenses and to register the vehicles in Florida.
We drove home yesterday, a day earlier than planned but we wanted to beat some of the traffic and let the kids get on with their holidays. I-95 in South Carolina was still a parking lot so it took a little longer than expected. We left before 7 AM and arrived home at 11:45 last night.
Another wonderful Christmas. Jeff and family hosted our annual Christmas Eve celebration and it was all that could be hoped for. On Christmas Day as the kids headed to in-laws Alesa and I visited the Goodmans at Shannondell and shared Christmas dinner with them.
This morning we stopped to visit our old Exton neighbors and did some shopping on the way to Jeff's. Yesterday we watched football; didn't like the Cowboy's game but loved the Eagle's game.
We left Florida at 3AM Friday and drove all the way. It was a good trip but tough going around DC and we made it to Mike's at about 8:30. Yesterday was a rest and recuperate day and Alesa took the girls shopping, to lunch and to the movies, The Hobbit. Today will be football.
We wore the Goodmans out so they left, we took them to the airport this morning. Actually we had a wonderful time with their visit and kept busy mostly eating and playing pickleball. We did stand in line to buy Lottery tickets but had no luck, we also drove over to Mt.
